Where are you located? +

I see clients in-person at my office in Nashville, TN. I also offer virtual therapy sessions for anyone located in the state of Tennessee.

Do you offer virtual therapy? +

Yes. I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions for clients anywhere in Tennessee. Virtual therapy offers the same level of care and attention as in-person sessions.

What are your counseling fees? +

My standard fee is $140 per 50-minute session. I offer a limited number of sliding-scale spots based on financial need. See the Fees & Insurance page for full details.

Do you accept insurance? +

I do not accept insurance directly. I am happy to provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. See Fees & Insurance for more information.

What is your cancellation policy? +

I ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full session fee.

How do I get started? +

Reach out through the contact page to request a free 15-minute phone consultation. We'll talk about what you're looking for, and I'll help you decide if I'm the right fit. If we are, we'll schedule your first session from there.

What should I expect in the first session? +

The first session is about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what brings you to counseling, your history, and what you're hoping to achieve. There's no pressure to have everything figured out — we'll go at your pace. By the end, we'll talk about a plan for moving forward together.

How long does therapy take? +

It varies. Some people come for a few months to work through a specific issue; others stay longer as they explore deeper patterns. We'll check in regularly about your progress and adjust as needed. You are always in control of the pace and duration of our work together.

Is what I share confidential? +

Yes. Everything you share in therapy is confidential with a few legal exceptions (such as imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or court orders). See the Privacy Info page for full details.

Do you prescribe medication? +

No. As a counselor, I do not prescribe medication. If medication might be helpful for you, I can refer you to a psychiatrist or your primary care physician for a consultation. I can also coordinate with your medication provider with your written consent.
